Trainee teachers at Middlesex University were invited to learn about Minibeasts and how they might introduce some of the methods and activities into their teaching practice. Our novel approach to environmental education was experienced by these students to encourage them to think about how to bring arts-based methods together with exploration, experimentation, science fact, and storytelling.
The students got down on the floor and got their hands dirty to experience what it is like to encounter the world as if they were a minibeast.
